Description

Up for sale is the legendary Yamaha VSS-200 Sampling FM Synthesizer, a coveted piece of gear famously used by Sigur Ros. This Japanese-made unit, released in 1987, is a true workhorse for electronic music production.

・The sampling edit function is exceptionally powerful, making it ideal for techno and other electronic genres.

・You can sample and edit internal sounds, and its Lo-Bit nature allows for unique sonic textures that can only be achieved with this synthesizer.

・Sampling via both microphone and line input has been confirmed (please sample at a higher volume due to the older specifications).

・Headphone Out and Aux Out have also been tested and are working.

・Basic operational checks have been completed using the genuine AC adapter and batteries.

・The microphone cord has become stretched. The keys show some age-related discoloration.

・This listing is for the synthesizer unit only.
