This boombox bears the “DIATONE” audio brand of Mitsubishi, which is known for its speakers. 20cm woofer with a large diameter and a high-performance deck with full logic control make this boombox worthy of the DIATONE name.

The front panel proudly displays the DIATONE logo. The deck section has a wow flutter of 0.05%, which is as high performance as a composite deck. Naturally, it is compatible with metal tapes. It also has a mixing function.

Equipped with a genuine 2-way speaker consisting of a 20cm woofer and a 5cm tweeter. The metal mesh grille allows for good sound extraction, and the front of the tweeter is equipped with a diffuser to improve directivity.

The button below the tuning scale is an MPSS indicator for programming playback.

Radio section, both AM/FM reception OK sensitivity is good.

The cassette section has had all three drive rubber belts and other parts replaced and all parts fully maintained (heads, rollers cleaned, drive mechanism re-greased, etc.). The tape runs well. Tested with a 120 minute tape, it runs strong. Recording, playback, fast forward, rewind, stop function at the end of the tape, etc. are in good working order.

The inside of the battery box is clean and can be operated with batteries. Illumination lamps light up OK, and the needle meter swings firmly and evenly from side to side. The tape speed is conveniently adjustable, and the standard speed has been adjusted to the 0 position.

It has been thoroughly serviced, so it works well and the sound quality is excellent.

The antenna is also extended all the way to the left and right without any bends.
