Description
This is a set of snare wires and hoop for a TAMA concert snare drum (see photos 5–7).
Grooved hoop for Starphonic
Can be installed on TAMA drums as well as compatible models from other manufacturers
Ideal for converting a standard snare drum into a concert snare or achieving a full-surface snare response
One extra hook is included as a spare
It can be attached to a snare drum with a depth of 5" or more. If the strainer is positioned too low or extends too far, the parts may interfere and installation will not be possible. For TAMA drums, a depth of 5.5" or more is recommended.
Three Different Snare Wires
The multi-snare frame of the STARPHONIC Bravura model is equipped with three types of full-surface snare wires, each producing a distinct sound. The tension of each snare wire type can be adjusted independently, or all three can be adjusted evenly.
From left in the second photo:
Nickel roundwound guitar strings (6 strings / full surface)
Black nylon-coated stainless steel wire (6 wires / full surface)
High-carbon steel coil snappy (6 strands / full surface)
This mechanism allows independent adjustment of the tension of the three snare wire types, as well as the contact between the snare wires and the snare side head. It also enables loose contact with high tension, which is difficult to achieve with a standard strainer.
