ORIENT GRAND PRIX ALMIGHTY 64 TRIOSTAT AUTOMATIC (Automatic winding)

This model was released to commemorate the 1964 Tokyo Olympics (64). It also features 64 jewels - consisting of a 30-jewel automatic movement with an additional 34 decorative jewels, bringing the total to 64 jewels. The movement used by Orient in this watch employed the innovative "Pellaton system," a mechanism also used in what are now known as vintage IWC watches. It was considered a groundbreaking design at the time.

Even when browsing auction sites, examples of this model appear to be quite rare regardless of condition. If you have been searching for one, this is an excellent opportunity.

The watch measures 38mm in case diameter, 13mm in thickness, and has a lug width of 19mm. Hand-winding is possible with the crown in the normal position, and the time can be adjusted by pulling the crown out to the first position.
