The BL-99V was a belt-drive player released by Micro Seiki around 1983. Later, the BL-99VW and BL-99VF models were introduced, featuring SAEC and Fidelity-Research arms. This particular player is the BL-99VW, equipped with the SAEC WE-407/TM arm. In addition to its beautiful form, it delivers exceptional playback performance. The combination of the BL-99V and the WE-407/TM arm, which pairs well with a wide range of cartridges, produces fantastic sound.

Condition

Each part has been polished and cleaned.

The dust cover has been polished with a special abrasive to remove scratches and then polished to enhance its transparency.

The arm, platter, and metal parts have been polished to remove dirt and rust.

Dust cover/buttons/plate/attracting platter

The cover has minor scratches, but there is no noticeable damage, and it remains transparent and clean.

The buttons, plate, and attracting platter all have a glossy finish, with no damage or deterioration to the attracting rubber.

The arm base also has a glossy finish but has slight dullness.

Cabinet

There is a repair mark on the lower front corner. Please check the image for details.

Otherwise, there is only slight fading and dullness, with no noticeable damage and a shiny condition.

The four isolators are functioning properly, and the hinges are intact, allowing the cover to stay open.

While there are some repairs, the overall condition is very good.

Operation

To confirm functionality, aging was done for half a day to one day.

We have performed comprehensive maintenance and operational checks, including testing electronic parts, oiling the spindle, cleaning contacts, and making necessary adjustments. It is now in a fully functional state, ready for use.

Turntable - Excellent operation

The turntable rotates normally, with smooth 33 and 45 rpm switching and speed adjustment.

The stability of the rotation has been confirmed using the included stroboscope.

The start/stop buttons respond properly.

The light works without issues.

This model is compatible with both 50Hz and 60Hz.

Tone arm - Excellent operation

It produces good sound from both left and right channels.

The lifter descends smoothly (oil replenished).

The inside force canceler adjustment and operation are good.

The tone arm height can be adjusted.

Air pump - Excellent operation

When the tube is connected to the turntable and the suction button is pressed, the record is properly attracted.

All operations above are functioning properly, and the item is in excellent working condition.
