Kiesel DC8 Neck-Through

This item was custom ordered brand new in 2023.

It features a fan fret (extra jumbo), a piezo-equipped bridge, and a custom quilted maple (5A) top finished in a fade from blue to red. The body finish was personally done by the company president, Jeff.

The body is made of swamp ash, the neck is a five-ply construction of walnut and maple, and an especially deep black ebony fingerboard was selected. It is equipped with gold hardware. Although it is not chambered, it does not feel overly heavy, allowing for comfortable long performances. It delivers a solid, modern core tone as well as delicate tonal expression from the neck pickup.

Most notably, the piezo can be blended, creating a very innovative acoustic-like sound for an 8-string guitar. It can be switched via a mini switch separate from the 5-way selector. Of course, stereo output for both magnetic and piezo pickups is also possible. It has a 2-volume configuration (magnetic master and piezo master).

Possibly due to the carbon reinforcement, the neck has never required adjustment, demonstrating its excellent strength and stability.

The way the quilted maple changes appearance depending on the viewing angle is exceptionally beautiful and truly satisfying to own.

Used two to three times for recording and about four times for live performances.

There are only about two small visible pick marks. Photos are provided.
