・Crafted from Black Persimmon (Kurogaki), a highly sought-after material known for its deep, rich texture and striking black stripes, especially highlighted in the top decorative element.
・The clock measures approximately 85 cm in height and 30 cm in width.
・The case is in good condition with no noticeable scratches, showcasing the beautiful grain of the Black Persimmon.
・Intricate hand-carved decorations adorn the top and various parts of the case, reflecting the meticulous craftsmanship of artisans. This level of detail is rarely seen in mass-produced items.
・Multiple artisans specializing in wood carving, joinery, woodturning, and lacquerware were involved in its creation, alongside clockmakers.
・The striking mechanism features a unique cast iron gong, prominently displayed and distinct in its design.
・The dial is made of paper, likely replaced in later years.
・The decorative glass pattern on the door is beautifully preserved.
