This is a Buescher TrueTone 400 Lightweight Bb Trumpet, manufactured in 1949, a significant instrument from the golden age of Jazz.

This model is known for its unique third tuning slide placement. The instrument is in good overall condition with no major damage. There are very minor dents and some signs of dent repair. The lacquer appears to be a relacquer, with over 90% remaining, though some spotting and peeling are visible in places. All slides and pistons move smoothly. The slides are somewhat loose, so a thicker or high-viscosity slide grease is recommended.
As the model name suggests, it is lightweight, weighing approximately 970g, with a bell size of about 115mm. This is a rare and valuable vintage model.
