Product description
One of Yamaha’s very first electric guitars released in 1966, the memorable SG-2, has arrived. The serial number is two digits, suggesting this is an early production example. As the origin of all Yamaha guitars bearing the SG name, this model is extremely important in telling the history of Yamaha. The tuning fork logo on the headstock was missing, so a genuine Yamaha Motor resin sticker was obtained and applied. Please take this opportunity to consider it. One string tuner cover is missing.
Detailed description
There are overall scratches, dents, and color fading. The truss rod functions well, with sufficient adjustment room in both tightening and loosening directions. Neck relief has been adjusted with the rod, but there is slight overall waviness. The frets show noticeable wear overall, but sufficient height remains and there are no particular issues for playing.
