TASCAM MIDI STUDIO 688 MTR
This is the TASCAM “MIDI STUDIO 688” 8-track cassette MTR.
It offers a level of quality suitable even for use in a recording studio. For an analog device of its time, it was equipped with 10 XLR terminals, and its professional-grade mixer section was one of the reasons for its popularity. It continues to be supported by music creators today.
Released around 1989.
Unfortunately, the tape deck cannot play back, so it is being sold as junk. Fast forward and rewind functions are operational.
The dust protection rubber on the fader sliders for tracks 1, 2, 3, and 8 has deteriorated, causing heaviness or slight sticking around volume levels 0 to 5.
