Prototype Outlet Ibanez RK-1 Replica by Richie Kotzen

This is a prototype outlet Ibanez RK-1 replica Richie Kotzen Signature model.

I created a replica of the RK-1, the signature model from the early period when Richie Kotzen was endorsed by Ibanez.

The RK-1 was apparently never commercially released, but it frequently appeared on the cover of the album “Fever Dream” and in the instructional video “Rock Chops,” making it a familiar model among Richie fans.

This guitar is also popular overseas, and some people have commissioned full custom replicas.

As an amateur, I created this guitar as a replica.

A custom-ordered sticker was applied to the surface of a used Ibanez guitar body, and specially ordered color pickups and pickup rings were installed.

The horror-style illustration on the back of the body was also reproduced using a custom sticker.

This guitar is a prototype and is being sold as an outlet item.

Please understand the following before purchasing.

The stickers on both the front and back of the body were specially ordered from overseas.

No case, such as a soft case, is included.

Differences from the original

This is not a complete list, but the main differences are as follows.

The original has dot inlays and is scalloped from around the 19th fret.

The original uses a black toggle switch instead of a 5-way selector, positioned to the left of the front pickup.

The original has no tone control, and the volume knob is a pink hat-style knob.

The original pickups are likely made by DiMarzio and have black pole pieces.

There are several differences in the paint compared to the original, such as letter size and color.

The original bridge is an Ibanez EDGE.

That said, it maintains a basic level of quality as an electric guitar.

You may fine-tune the setup and use it as is, display it, or use it as a base for modification.
